There are always moments when we wish we could change how our life has turned out. We have a blistering hole inside that yearns for a replacement to its emptiness and our mind is a broken record of all the scenarios that could have been. But trapped in this way of thinking, we sit in darkness and never-ending torture, because our happiness becomes dependent on the past and lost possibilities. Those are things we cannot ever change and wouldn’t have ever been able to predict. We become obsessed, and as a result, we are always met with failure. We begin viewing our life as already over. We forget to focus on what we can change; if we don’t like what we see, now is the opportunity to change the picture from this point forward. Now is the time to pick up the paint brush and create a masterpiece out of the canvas with splashed paint all over it. Now is the time to heal by using those imperfections to our advantage. With each stroke, we learn, wander and grow. We must keep going. Life only stops when we let it.
