Belittling Others

Dalai Lama quote 2

Let’s not belittle the feelings of others because we consider them trivial in comparison to our own and inconceivable in so far that they are attention seeking. Let’s not belittle the ambition of others because we view it as in competition with our own or too far-reaching and unconventional to stand a chance in this world. Let’s not belittle the journeys of others because we think there is a right way to do something and their way is so different from our own. Let’s not be threatened, bitter, unforgiving or inconsiderate. Instead, let’s understand and empathise, learn and move forward. Most of all, let’s empower one another, and this can simply be done through our behaviour as much as through our actions.

“Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them” – Dalai Lama
