At times, it can be overwhelming, exhausting, frustrating and painful, to work tirelessly for an uncertain ending. We cannot guarantee that our hard work will be rewarded with prosperity. But that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try or that we should cut corners. The sweetest accomplishments are cultivated through time and effort. We might be honoured with our desired outcome. We might equally be honoured with a lesson born out of failure, which in turn leads us another step closer to our desired outcome. What we create for instant satisfaction will quickly fade, because we’re not invested in the same way, and it isn’t as stable or perpetuating. So don’t be afraid to take time and to put in the effort. It will all come to something greater.
One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast withers as rapidly; and that which grows slow endures. – Josiah Gilbert Holland
