Death is inescapable. But we shouldn’t let it haunt us like the ghost we may become. Because we’re alive right now and that’s what counts. We can live in whichever way we chose, be whoever we want to be and go wherever we take ourselves. Don’t underestimate it. Don’t take it for granted. Don’t forget that you’re alive. Someday we might die, but on all the other days, we will not.
The highs and the lows. The light and the darkness. The blessings and the lessons. The climbing and the falling. The setbacks and the comebacks. The open plains and the dead ends. Experience it all. You’ll be stronger because of it. You’ll be happier because of it. You’ll be alive because of it.
When we’re about to jump, a number of emotions are packed into a tiny moment. Some of us shut our eyes. Some of us take a deep breath. Some of us stop breathing all together. Some of us let out a scream. Yet, there isn’t another time we feel more alive. It might be scary to take a leap, but it will be worth it in the end. Let go of the fears, the past, the inhibitions, the stories, the expectations. Be bold. Be daring. Be fierce. Be brave. Because good fortune will follow.
Every day, we’re writing our legacy. Many of us may not see life that way, because it’s easy to take life for granted. We expect life to be long and death to be far away. But death always walks with us and we cannot predict when it will chose us. Often, it is only when we’re faced with death that we begin to re-evaluate and re-prioritise what really matters. But we shouldn’t be waiting for a traumatic event to remind that life is for living. Go out and do what you want to do. Love who you want to love. Be who you want to be. Every day, we’re writing our legacy. And every day, we have the chance to create the best version. Let’s not wait!
Life is simply a heartbeat. Life, like heartbeats, has its up and downs. Life, like heartbeats, is over as quickly as it begun. But at this moment, we’re still alive. We might consider it an injustice that the world keeps on turning after a tragedy, but it is also our greatest blessing. As long as our heart beats, we can change, adapt, recover, grow, be freed. As long as our heart beats, we can find happiness, positivity, success, and all our desires, despite our mistakes, shortcomings and failures. As long as our heart beats, there is always a time for a new beginning, for another try, and for another chance to feel. Don’t waste it.
