You can be anyone and still be happy. You can be anywhere and still be happy. You can do anything and still be happy. There are no set ingredients and no set recipes for happiness. No matter what family you’re born into, what your past looks like or what mistakes you’ve made, you can still be happy. It’s about being true to who you are, being grateful for what you have and being hopeful for what is to come. Be who you want to be and do what you want to do, and happiness will not be far behind.
Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but of playing a poor hand well. ~ Robert Louis Stevenson
Quote of the day.
If we plant a handful of seeds into the ground, we cannot predict how tall and strong they’ll grow. Some might grow more than others. But if we nurture them with love and care, we may find different results. More will grow than not. It’s the same with us. We might be planted in this world in particular conditions. But that doesn’t define who we are or how successful we are. We define that. If we’re willing to put the time in, if we’re willing to take care of ourselves, and most importantly, if we’re willing to believe in ourselves, we’ll exceed what we might have once been deemed capable of. We’re more than our circumstances. We’re our passion, our persistence and our positivity. If we stick it out in the darkness, we’ll quickly find the light.
Success isn’t a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire. Success cannot sustain itself on luck or circumstance or chance. Success is planted, nurtured and blossomed by each of us. We need to have a firm faith in our vision. We need to have a fierce determination. We need to have enough courage to take uncertain risks. We need to change our perspectives, the ways we think, the energies we emit. Sometimes we have to be willing to lose in order to win. And the best part? It comes down to us. Let’s not make excuses, let’s make things happen.
Sometimes we have to make choices under pressure, under heightened emotions, and under difficult circumstances. Sometimes we want vengeance or justice, because that is what seems fair and right. But there’s still a line between right and wrong, good and bad, that we must navigate carefully – what we might think is right in a moment might be wrong in the long run. Because once actions are made, words are said, there’s no taking them back. They might be forgiven but never forgotten. Cling to what is good. Cling to positivity, happiness, kindness. Cling to solutions that end problems, not create them.
We all have potential to unlock. We all have more to offer and more to be. And we ourselves hold the key. Prosperity isn’t all down to luck or genetics or circumstances. It mostly comes down to perseverance, passion and the belief in our potential. We all start at the bottom, swimming breathlessly in the darkness. But if we keep going, we become stronger and see clearer in the dark. What makes someone accomplished is because they kept going, despite other people’s doubtful comments or even their own pessimistic thoughts. Don’t give up on yourself so easily. The world around us is just an abundance of dreams knitted together to create reality. If other people can do it, so can we. We are all good enough. We all have potential. It’s the biggest mistake to believe you don’t.
Times can be tough. Everyone experiences them in one form or another, and not only once. Even if we think others might have it easier, we’re all going through our own battles. It’s not our circumstances that make the difference, it’s who we are on the inside that counts. It’s about believing in yourself. It’s about unleashing that inner fire and burning those negative thoughts. It’s about believing in happier times. It’s about fighting for what you deserve and what you want out of life. It’s about becoming stronger and better. Circumstances might shape who we are, but we decide who that is. You decide what you’re made of.
Life is all about perspective. We can look at the glass as being half empty or half full. We can shrink away from the world in fear or we can embrace it with open arms. We can assess situations with vigour, candour, ignorance, or cynicism. We can live in pain and loss or gratitude and fullness. We can see another side to every story. Life is all about perspective. Sometimes it’s hard to grasp that perspective is something we own. Our circumstances, our fate, our relationships may all colour it, but it is ultimately in our hands. We just need to learn to master it. There’s always another way to look at things, and that makes all the difference. Don’t let go of that power.
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. – Wayne Dyer
