Hope to never grow up. Never stop learning. Never stop questioning. Never stop believing. Never stop exploring. Never take life too seriously. Never stay trapped in a life you hate. Never say never. But there’s a certain magic that our young selves see in the world that slowly loses its sparkle as we grow up. Never lose that magic. If you do, life loses its magic too.
The world is abundant. There’s so much to see, so much to do, so much to be. Pick people’s brains. Walk through open doors. Talk to strangers. Take a new route home. Go somewhere you’ve never been before. Experience as much as you can, including mistakes, failure, risks, struggle, uncertainty. Because that will bring us closer to experiencing the beauty of life. There’s so much on offer. We just need to take it.
We won’t always be in a place we want to stay; we may be itching to get out of there as soon as we can. But there’s beauty, possibility and experience in every corner wherever you are, as much as anywhere else, if you look for it. Look, listen and feel. Explore, discover and uncover the treasures. Be all there. Appreciate where you are. Only then should you be content to move on.
We all have an endless supply of blank spaces to fill. Spaces to shape who we are. Spaces to discover and explore. Spaces to learn and think. Spaces to try and fall and try again. Spaces to imagine and build. We all have endless opportunities, possibilities, and fates. We’re not stuck on one road or labelled as one person. We can be whoever we want to be, do whatever we want to do, and more. Let’s not limit ourselves. Let’s let go. Let’s make the most of it. Dwell in possibility and fill those blank spaces.
It’s simple enough to say ‘love what you do’. But in reality, it’s not as easy. To get to a place where you love what you do, it might mean dipping into something and figuring out it’s not for you. Yes, it might mean enduring jobs we loathe and people we despise. Yes, it might mean rerouting and uprooting. But when we love what we do, we exude passion and energy. And that’s when we get results. That’s when we transcend boundaries. That’s where the line is drawn between those who make change and those who live in the shadows. That’s when we can look back and smile.
Life can still be full of surprises if we’re willing to seek them out. And sometimes that means we surprise ourselves. Sometimes, when we let go of our expectations and perceptions of the world and ourselves, we can accomplish marvellous things. We can find seeds of courage, hope or determination when we set our minds to it. So don’t be afraid to get stuck in and explore life. It’s full to the brim with possibility, joy and experience. Blow your mind.
