Who we listen to

We need to be mindful of who we listen to. Because they affect our opinions, our choices, our lives. Sometimes we don’t even realise what we’re absorbing and sometimes there are so many voices, we don’t know where to start. But above all, listen to your own voice, your own thoughts, your own desires. You’re the one who has to live your life. You need to enjoy it. And sometimes that will mean drowning out the noise of those close to you. Make decisions on your own terms. It might not be easy, but it will be worth it.

Ignore the noise

The noise of the world and the noise in our heads often drown out confidence, optimism, and reason. Sometimes the noise of the world becomes the noise in our heads. We are told we’re not good enough. We are told we’re nothing more than our mistakes. We communicate in negatives, in lacking, in problems. Who’s dictating? Don’t let the noise suffocate your voice. Ignore the noise and get out your microphone. Sing a new tune, one that you actually want to listen to. Because the only one talking in your head should be you.

Pierce Your Bubble

sometimes-you-need-to-distance-yourself-to-see-things-clearly-quote-11-e1422460481547

If we look at the sun too long, we are blinded. In the same way, we can easily become too caught up in our life, thoughts and feelings. Sometimes we are lost in a lack of motivation, in jealousy, or in negativity. Sometimes we are trapped in arguments, in relationships, or in the monotony of daily life. We’re deafened by the noise to the point where we can’t hear clearly. Sometimes we need to pierce our own bubble to get some clarity. We need room to breathe, a change of pace and a little distance. It’s okay to let go to see what you really want to hold onto. And it’s okay to let go of what is actually holding you down.
