Masquerading

It’s exhausting constantly trying to fit in. It’s exhausting because there is no one-size-fits-all, yet we pretend there is. But think ahead to your later years, when you’re looking back at what you’ve done. Do you really want to look back on yourself trying to be someone else, whether succeeding or not? We all have our own passions and dreams, our own perspectives and opinions. They don’t have to fit in to be successful or satisfying. No, they don’t have to fit in, but you have to have the courage to breathe life into them. You’re going to have to live with yourself every second of every day. Why not make those seconds your seconds? Because in the end, whatever you do with them, they’ll be known as your seconds. Don’t waste them masquerading as someone else.

Happiness shines from within

We create our own world. Our world is a representation of our experiences, encounters, perceptions, thoughts and feelings. We create our perspectives of good and bad. And with that, we create our senses of happiness and satisfaction and despair and sadness. We attach an emotion to an experience. But happiness shouldn’t be something we only find in particular experiences, because the world is sometimes uncontrollable and unfair. Happiness is something we create within – an emotion we foster due to and in spite of our experiences. We shouldn’t rely on the external world to create our happiness. It’s more about our perspective. We create happiness on the inside. Let the happiness shine from within and create a new world.

Success lies in each of us

Success isn’t a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire. Success cannot sustain itself on luck or circumstance or chance. Success is planted, nurtured and blossomed by each of us. We need to have a firm faith in our vision. We need to have a fierce determination. We need to have enough courage to take uncertain risks. We need to change our perspectives, the ways we think, the energies we emit. Sometimes we have to be willing to lose in order to win. And the best part? It comes down to us. Let’s not make excuses, let’s make things happen.
