Sticks and stones may break your bones, but don’t let it break you. Sometimes it feels like life is hitting us constantly, not even giving us time to get back up before hitting us down again. But there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. There is always a way out. There is always another path. Keep your eyes open or maybe take a look at things from a different perspective. Most of all, keep going, and you’ll get to wherever you want to be.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in problems, in heartache, and in hardship. But they don’t need to define our life, even if they are a daily burden. Dreams and hopes coupled with perseverance are where the future lies, and happiness too. Let those guide you, revive you and empower you, especially in the tougher times. Don’t let the tough times get the best of you.
When your ride gets thrown off track, it can be overwhelming. Perhaps something has turned your life upside down. Perhaps things have been piling up and weighing you down. Either way, it can feel like there’s no way out. We’ve got to strip it back down to basics. First of all, remind yourself that everything will be ok. Then, remember everything you’ve still got. Next, slowly pull yourself out of the wreckage. Finally, repeat all the above until you’re back on track. The journey might not be the same, but it will still be the ride of your life.
We can only try our best. We’re not all-powerful and we’re not all-knowing. We can only make decisions to the best of our abilities. If we do that, we can bear the many mistakes we’ll make and the troubles that life will bring. Because we can’t ask more of ourselves than our best. We’re only human and that’s alright.
To worry is to feel anxious or troubled about actual or potential problems. It doesn’t solve or comfort or help, yet we still spend significant time worrying. We have to realise that it’s not going to change anything. In fact it only makes things worse. We worry about things that haven’t even happened, and all it does is rob us of any joy we have at that moment in time. We cannot predict everything, but that doesn’t mean that everything will turn out badly. Face the problem when it comes to it. We don’t want to look back on our lives wishing we’d spent less time worrying about things that were just drops in an ocean. Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joys.
There comes a time when we’ll get caught in a downpour. Our first instinct is to take cover from it. But that isn’t always an option. Sometimes we have to weather it. And whatever we do, we’re bound to get soaked. But that’s ok, as long as we try to do our best. Don’t give into the raindrops of adversity. You’re better than that. You’re smart and courageous and innovative. And even if all else fails, you can still dance in the rain and laugh a little. Keep holding on, because the sun will come out once again and it will shine brighter than before.
Stars are formed in a cloud of dust. The cloud of gas and dust collapses under it’s own gravitational attraction. And a protostar is born, made up of some of the gas and dust it’s gathered in the process. What does this have to do with you? Well, you never know what might happen tomorrow. If you think your world is ending or you feel your world is unclear, remember you never know what might happen tomorrow. All the trouble and turmoil is building you into a star. A beautiful, bright star. Have faith. And don’t give up too easily. Your world isn’t ending, it’s just beginning.
